A Continuous Record of Achievement in Radiological Surveillance: Detection of a Container Contaminated with Industrial Cesium Isotope at Umm Qasr Middle Port

As part of the ongoing successes our company continues to achieve in the field of radiological monitoring and detection, utilizing the latest technological systems and international standards, our teams have recorded a new accomplishment reflecting high readiness and professionalism in field operations.
Through our specialized gates at Umm Qasr Middle Port, abnormal radiological readings were detected from one of the commercial containers, which contained four old-model Toyota cars. Following thorough scanning and inspection procedures, it was confirmed that the container was contaminated with the industrial radioactive isotope Cs-137, one of the most hazardous isotopes used in industry.
Our specialized teams responded to the situation with high efficiency, isolating the container and imposing a precautionary detention in coordination with the relevant regulatory authorities, following precise and approved protocols for handling radioactive materials.
This achievement reaffirms the leading role our company plays in the field of radiological security and underscores our ongoing commitment to protecting Iraq from radiological threats while continuing our journey toward achieving the highest standards of radiological safety with exceptional competence and professionalism.

The attached images below illustrate the detailed processes of radiological inspection and the detention procedures carried out in accordance with the established protocols.
